A rather interesting Halloween activity, probably. From one of my family genealogy sites, Dowsing for Graves.

Oh... I have a pair of dowsing rods I have played with and used for energy assessment (I prefer a pendulum, and would be interested in trying one for this). If you decide to try making a pair, in addition to the wire coathangers, get a couple of plastic drinking straws and put the handle part down in them to use as grips (you can cut the length to fit and if you want them to stay on, glue a bead to the handle end that is bigger than the straw). That way you won't hold them too snugly and it will allow them to move freely. It takes a little more practice with sleeves but I think they work better that way.

I have no idea what this thing would do with my F/O posts; I think it only works on the Public ones. But fun anyway ;-)
