Winter Mix
Dec. 20th, 2005 05:05 pmNoNoNoNoNoNoNo it is NOT going to snow here, dagnabbit.
Whoever is wishing for a White Christmas around here can just stop it immediately; I'll find out who you are and give you an attitude adjustment with a snow shovel.
Besides the obvious (I only like snow on TV and greeting cards) nobody down here is prepared, trained or capable of driving on frozen streets. There is plenty of sand, but no sand trucks, and I don't even think I've seen a bag of salt around. It's 39 now at 5:00, and that don't bode well.
S tells me she and J saw some flurries this morning, and I definitely did this afternoon when we went out, though it seems to be more sleety than fluffy. Bleargh.
Well, we got out to the MD's so I could pick up my meds and WM to get some essentials; I guess it could freeze if it likes... but we've got friends closing on a house tomorrow and moving on Thursday with a U-Haul, so I don't want any icy aggro, particularly in Bad Backen Kneeville.
Somebody call Mr. Heat Miser and tell him I don't think this is very funny.
